Retex, the leading Italian provider of innovative solutions to physical and online stores, signed an agreement with the premium Japanese-Brazilian casual dining brand Temakinho for the opening of two new restaurants in Formentera and Milan’s Duomo area.
Retex will put in place the sales management system in both new Temakinho venues. These new openings bring the total number of restaurants to ten, all strategically located in important destinations such as Milan, Rome, London and Ibiza.
The Oracle Symphony 2.9 system managed by Retex will provide the restaurants with new functions aimed at improving their efficiency and operations.
“We have worked on several international projects and are particularly glad to support Temakinho in its expansion. We share the same entrepreneurial vision and the sustainability-oriented approach” states Fausto Caprini, Retex CEO.
“We have selected Retex as our partner because it is extremely important for us to keep up with technology trends. Temakinho’s customers are modern and demanding: tables are booked via app and many ask to pay via mobile or Satispay. It is therefore essential to have technologically advanced systems” says Linda Maroli, one of Temakinho’s founders. “The use of a management system allows us to monitor restaurants’ consumptions and to limit unnecessary waste. Kitchen displays and tablets to take orders will speed up the procedures and reduce the use of paper, in accordance to our environmentally-friendly initiatives”.
The first restaurant chain in the world to obtain the Friend of the Sea certification, Temakinho takes the environmental issues at heart and promotes several awareness-raising initiatives towards its customers: from the decision to suspend bluefin tuna dishes as it is not available in fish farms or sustainable fishing, to the almost total removal of plastic packages in restaurants, take-away and home delivery services.
Retex is an Italian enteprise that specialises in system integrations and consultancy services with the aim to offer a unique customer experience. It supports retailers in their digital transformation, through the muti-channnel integration, in the area of Food & Beverage, Fashion & Luxury and Retail. Founded and headquartered in Milan, Retex employes more than 170 professionals and it recorded a turnover of 20 ml euros in 2017.
Temakinho was a venture of love between three founders, who wanted to create a restaurant that brought the fusion of Japanese and Brazilian cuisine to life. Since opening their first restaurant in Italy in 2012, Temakinho have taken their zesty Japanese-Brazilian cuisine to Milan, Rome, Ibiza, London and in June 2018 Formentera. The first restaurant group in the world to be honoured with the ‘Friends of the Sea’ certification, sustainability is at the heart of Temakinho, who strive to use high quality, ethically sourced ingredients to encourage the conscious consumption of raw materials. Next openings: Torino (2019).
